See how others are speaking up
When I was 21, I suddenly decided to look into what psoriasis actually is. I started to see that when it gradually fades and the plaques flake away, you free yourself and don’t need to hide anymore.
The first time Sascha shared his psoriasis story was on his podcast and he knows how important these stories are because you can help other people and learn from them.
Karin wants people living with serious skin conditions to be more open about their disease and hopes this will help them gain more confidence.
Psoriasis used to stop Lianne. Now, sharing her story has given her confidence, connected her with others and inspired them to speak up, too.
Let me be clear, achieving clear skin would mean gaining back the confidence that I haven't felt in a very long time. The ability to enjoy my time with others without constantly worrying about my appearance or how others might view me. Achieving clear skin means achieving peace of mind.
Let me be clear, I want my doctor to know about ME not just about psoriasis in other people who they think are like me. I have my bad days, I have my good days, but even at my best I still don't feel like I want to. Achieving clear skin doesn't sound like much if you don't know what this is like, but just for the little things like wearing t-shirts or swimming costumes ALL summer, not just occasionally, it would mean the world to me. So let me be clear - I need to be listened to.
